How do you swallow?

Dear A Normal,

As I also, in fact, do not know how to swallow. So here’s what Google told me:

1. Position your tongue: Place the tip of your tongue on the roof of your mouth, just behind your upper front teeth.

2. Close your mouth: Keep your lips sealed together.

3. Clench your teeth: Your teeth should meet together as you swallow.

4. Swallow: The middle and back of your tongue will create a wave-like motion, moving the food or liquid toward the back of your throat and into the esophagus.
