ICE Protest Dolores Park
Our first-hand experience.
As we showed up to the ice protest we saw waves of people walk in. Even on public transportation, the trains were filled to the brim with scholars who walked out. All over the city high school students were passionate about the cause of protesting I.C.E (Immigrations and Customs Enforcement) and decided collectively to do organized walkouts from 10am-2pm. Posters folded the sky and drums were booming. An estimated 100,000 in attendance. Reporters went around and interviewed kids and adults to ask about why it was important to them to fight for the cause of keeping I.C.E off of San Francisco streets. As the protest continued, more people flooded the park, and started opening up about their experiences and leading chants. As we marched deeper into the crowd, the energy grew.

Later in the day the march started. Dedicated protesters began to march from Dolores Park to Market street and finally to the Civic Center. There were waves of people as far as you can see.

At the end of the day protesters went home hoping to leave an impact on how I.C.E. operates in San Francisco and around the country by showing how many people are disappointed in their tactics and morals.
