Homemade Gelato Made Fresh Everyday!
Hi everyone! We went into North Beach and interviewed a local gelato* shop. The man we interviewed was super nice and polite and answered all our questions. It was a great hole-in-the-wall kind of place. They make delicious handmade gelato fresh every day.
*Gelato is a dense, creamy Italian dessert. It is like ice cream, but with more milk and less cream. It has a richer texture and stronger taste than ice cream.
“I have gone there multiple times over the years. The gelato is soft and melty, and different flavors have chunks of chocolate, strawberry, or wafers. Some flavors I’ve tried are the mint chocolate chip and strawberry.”

Brown Butter: Mostly older people like this flavor.
Mint chocolate chip: Popular among kids.

When are you busiest?
Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays (basically the weekend).
What do you like about your job/what are some things you do?
He likes to taste the flavors.
He tastes the flavors to see which ones people will like.
If he doesn’t like it, he calls the owner to have them taste it so they can take it out.
