The Origin of Classic Roblox 2006-2010

Hello NewsCool Chronicle readers, I'm going to tell you about the origin of Roblox. Sit there, relax, eat your popcorn, put on some aura music as I tell the epic story of The Origin of Robox.

Roblox came out in 2004 (Nerdy Reader voices: Didn't Roblox come out in 2004 or 2006?) It came out in 2008. Man, shut your – (slap Nerdy Reader across New York.)

As I said, Roblox came out in 2004, but it wasn’t released until 2006 because Roblox was in its beta era, still testing the mechanics and physics of the game.

Roblox Came Out?

When Roblox came out (before GTA 5) in 2006, Roblox had 20 accounts that joined Roblox. Wait, 20? That’s not possible. People didn’t know about Roblox, it just came out for 30 seconds to the public and nobody knew about it. How did Roblox already have 20 accounts? That doesn't make any sense. What is happening?

Well, 20 people didn't just search up Roblox and realize Roblox came out 30 seconds ago. You want to know how Roblox got 20 accounts in less than a minute? Well, it wasn’t just random people making accounts for fun. Roblox made 20 accounts. Why? Well, the reason why is that they needed 20 tester accounts to see if the game functioned correctly. That is why 20 accounts were already made in less than a minute.

Also, Roblox was not the first account and is not even in the top 30 accounts made in Roblox. The first ever made was named “ADMIN,” all uppercase, and “qa,” which is the shortest name in Roblox history. I could name other ones, but it would take too long to type, so here is the website of the 10 accounts made in Roblox history.

Classic Roblox Games

Classic: Rocket Arena was the first-ever Roblox Game to be published. It was published on January 26, 2006, and it was also created by Roblox. The game is about fighting. Well, not really, since it was a shooting game. But we’re just going to stick to the point. The game is about shooting rockets at other people and shooting buildings and bridges (ohh i forgot to tell you there are bridges in the game, sorry) with rockets in case people come for you.

There are other weapons besides rockets, like Trowes. Trowes help you build a wall in front of you, just in case someone shoots you with rockets. There are also more weapons that can make the game unbalanced, such as one called Jet Boost (or you can just call it jetpack). It makes you fly for a certain number of seconds. Then you fall, and if you want to use it again, you have to wait because it is on cool down. This item is so overpowered that you can do a clutch with this. Robloxaville: Robloxaville came out in August 2008, and it was a role-playing game. And yeah, there was weird stuff in Robloxaville, but Roblox banned all of the online daters. Anyway, in Robloxaville there were a lot of cities and towns, and once you joined the game, you were introduced to a kid, pet, or even a mom or dad. Don’t ask me why that was a feature of the game, but Robloxaville had endless things to do, like fighting, dancing, robbing banks, arresting robbers, or even adopting pets.

There are so many things to do in one single game. There were special holiday events in specific months, like December. There were cool items to get. It was a very cool game to play, but now the game can’t be played anymore because it has been criticized. It decreased in popularity, and now it’s a dead game. (Here is where I got the information about Robloxaville).

Yorick Resting Place was the 3rd Roblox game to be made by Roblox, not Abyss or someone else. It was made by Roblox, but this time, the game was not a fighting game. Instead, it was an Obby game and puzzle game - there is no weapon in this game, and this was probably the first game to have a free item. But as I said, let me tell you how get the item (you can’t get the item, but i will guide you anyway).

Once you spawn into the game, you will see a river and a stepping stone. You have step and follow the stepping stone. Why? Because this will be important as I tell you a little later. As you follow the stepping stone and jump on it, you're gonna have to avoid the river. Why? Because the river is poisoned, and if you step on the poisoned river you will take damage for a few seconds. Even if you did avoid it just in time, you still take damage. And if you are in the river a little longer, you die, and you have to do the process all over again.

As you finish the stepping stone obby, you will see a mountain that you have to climb on top of the mountain. After you finish climbing to the top of the mountain, you will see a small building, get inside of it, then wait 3 seconds. After you wait 3 seconds, you will fall and see 4 pass away. Then you go to the green one after you turn around and go to a gate. After you do that, you will see a tree and a graveyard that you have to go through. There will be a maze that you have to beat. You will see a building, and it will take you to a house where you have to find a coach that you have to move. Then, after that, you will be in a cave where you can climb to find a blue door that you open then you get a skull hat. More on the old games of Roblox.

The Origin of Hats and Clothes

In the old days of Roblox there were hats and clothes you could wear and if you found cool clothes and hats you could make yourself a cool player out of Roblox.

Here is the fun part, Roblox can let you create clothes but not hats Also by making clothes you can make tixs and robux. This is where games got the idea of shirts.

Nerdy Reader voice: what do you mean by that? What I mean is game passes didn't exist in Roblox yet, devs had to be creative by making shirts as game passes but soon this caused problems because when a game says you have to buy this shirt to get access to a VIP place, you buy it and you realize you got scammed. I'm not saying all games do this, I'm just saying that some games do this. And the worst part is that this started in 2008 not 2006, 2008.

The Origin of Roblox Contest

Nerdy Reader voice: wait there was a contest. Yes there was, but you didn’t know because you are busy playing brainrot games that don't have to do with 2006-2010 Roblox.

Wait, where we, ahh yes, contests, contests were a fun thing to do as it helped Roblox and sponsored ships, like the Battleship. And the best part is that if you enter these contests to get free items. Yorick Resting Places was the first contest to have free items. And I know OG Roblox players there were building contests where you could get free items, which was a fun thing to do for any OG Roblox player. The best part is that it doesn't matter if you were bad at building or you came in last - you will still get a free item. On 11/11/11, why did Roblox stop hosting building contests? Wait, why did they stop, it was a fun thing to do, why did they stop?

Well Roblox didn't stop the contest, they stopped building the contest, but why would they do that? Because Roblox shifted to a new AI-generated contest in 2019. I don't know why they stopped, but Roblox wanted to focus on other things besides building contests. And the last building contest was a level up sponsored  ship. Level up is a show.

The Origin of Robux and Tixs

Robux and Tixs was added in 2007 May 14. A year before Roblox got released into public.

Nerdy Reader voice: wait I thought Robux and Tixs was added at the same time as Roblox came out in 2006? I thought so too, but I guess Robux and Tixs were added in different times before Roblox came out.

Wait where we ahh yes, Robux and Tixs. For people who joined before 2016 this is a great time because if anyone joins your game you get one Robux, but actually for 10 people who joined your game you get 1 Robux. But Robux isn't the currency of Roblox, there was also Tixs. If you don’t know what Tixs is, it’s basically a free version of Robux which soon won’t back fire.

Every time you login to Robux you get a free few Tixs and the best part is you can turn Tixs into Robux but takes a long time to turn it in to Robux but then Tix got removed in 2016 April 14, and for a reason that I will tell you soon.

The Dark side of Roblox

I have been talking about the good of Roblox, but I haven’t fully talked about the dark side yet, so let me talk about it. Roblox scams started in mid 2010. There were “Free Robux and Tixs” generators that say they will give you “Free” Robux, but in reality, the website you are on is a scam, or it is a dangerous virus that steals your Roblox information or even your personal information to sell on the black market. But sometimes some of these Fake Free Robux websites aren’t dangerous and sometimes have services that make sure you're not a bot, but in reality, they are getting money from people doing these services. Don’t worry, it is a random company's money that’s paying random greedy people, so please don’t go to these fake free Robux websites - they are dangerous. 

Robux and Tix Abuse

Nerdy Reader voice: what do you mean by Robux and Tix abuse? Remember when I said that every time you login into Roblox you get Tixs.

Nerdy Reader voice: Yeah. And remember when I said that for every 10 players that join your game, you get one Robux. Nerdy Reader voice: Yeah. Well a few Roblox players found a way to get themselves infinite Tix and Robux by creating new accounts, which are bought by buying the person games who created these new accounts to get infinite Robux and getting Tixs from the daily login.

Nerdy Reader voice: wait Roblox didn’t have the feature to give Tix and plus there was no donation game in 2006-2010. This is why you're dumb. Man, shut your (slaps Nerdy Reader across Mars). (clears throat) You're right, Nerdy Reader, but remember when you can create shirts?

Nerdy Reader voice: (can’t say anything because he is on Mars). Ohh yeah, I forgot I slapped him. Anyway, you can create shirts to sell, and the person who made bot accounts made the bots buy the shirts to receive Tix or Robux.

The fake rumors, are where you make up a story of a tragic event that didn’t happen, then you tell a friend the fake rumor they don’t know is fake. Soon your friend will tell his friend and not realizing that it’s fake and it goes on. So let me tell you 2 fake rumors that could of ruin Roblox's career.

Fake rumor number 1, in February 26, 2006 Roblox created test accounts to see if Roblox is working and one of Roblox test accounts was John Doe. You might know who John Doe is, he is known for Hacking the Roblox website in 2006-2010. He was a legend for hacking Roblox.

But what if I told you the thing about John Doe ‘hacking Roblox’ was fake that he wasn’t an actual hacker - he was just a rumor and the rumor was to scare Roblox players. The rumor started in 2010 were there were fake stories about John Doe hacking Roblox and in 2016 there were so many click bait videos on YouTube of John Doe ‘hacking Roblox’ when he didn’t. He just a test account for Roblox 1x1x1x1. So 1x1x1x1 was a hacker meant to be as powerful as Roblox or even more powerful (according to Roblox players) than Roblox.

But you guys know that he not a hacker and he wasn’t a test account, and you guys might be wondering, why was 1x1x1x1 made. Well he was made by John Shedletsky, an administrator for Roblox who was the second creator of Roblox and made the whole UI for Roblox. Then Shedletsky quit in 2014 because he had better business opportunities.

Ohh i forgot it’s not about John Shedletsky, it is about 1x1x1x1. So why did John Shedletsky create 1x1x1x1? Well the reason why Shedletsky created 1x1x1x1 is because he wanted to make a lore of throwaway which was a story and 1x1x1x1 was an evil person in it. People saw Shedletsky lore and players thought that 1x1x1x1 was going to hack all Roblox. He is a hacker in the story not on Roblox.

So the people made creepy rumors and stories of 1x1x1x1. On November 29, 2008 there was a user name called 1x1x1x1x1x1. I know a very long 1x name. 1x1x1x1x1x1 flooded the Roblox forums (which don’t exist anymore because Quackity joined Roblox in 2014 and soon got banned in 2017 which made the Quackity fans mad by flooding the Roblox forums, saying “bring him back” almost broke Roblox which is why Roblox forums don’t exist any more).

1x1x1x1 got hacked, you might be wondering, how did 1x1x1x1 get hacked? Shedletsky watches over his accounts? How did 1x1x1x1 get hacked?! Well 1x1x1x1 was only a hack for a little bit then got the account restored. You might be wondering but how did 1x1x1x1 get hacked? Well the 1x1x1x1 got PG which stands for password guess, so yeah the 1x1x1x1 got password guess but still got the account restored and Shedletsky made sure the password to 1x1x1x1 was changed and also 1x1x1x1 username got reset for some reason and now the user of 1x1x1x1 is now called roblox_user_81619 which is a weird name. I know, I know. (Here is where got the information of John Doe and 1x1x1x1 - source 1 and source 2).

The Origin Of Dynablocks (Roblox) 1983

What if I told you Roblox wasn’t meant to be a game but instead a 2D physics game.

Nerdy Reader voices: erm what do mean Roblox is meant to be a game and Roblox didn’t came out in 1983 it came out in 2004 and it wasn’t called Dynablocks, why are you spreading false information, this is why you are dumb, dumber then a Goblin Shark. Man shut your (Destroys Nerdy Reader vocal cord). There you go Nerdy Reader, you should thank me for destroying your ability to speak.

Anyway as I was saying back in 1983 Roblox was a 2D physics game, meant to test physics if you were creating a game back in 1983 but soon the CEO of Roblox couldn’t remember the name Dynablocks and they wanted to shift to games which is why Roblox is Roblox.
