The Super Bowl and Bad Bunny

Absolute “Snoozefest” is how popular streamer Caseoh described the 2026 Superbowl game. I have to say I agree with him. The game had one of the worst matchups of all time with the Patriots vs the Seahawks. The score was 29-13 and the Seahawks won, almost nothing happened for the Patriots in the first half and they didn't start scoring until the 4th quarter. In the photo above Drake Maye gets basically tackled by Devon Witherspoon and decides it is a good idea to throw the ball anyway, and Uchenna Nwosu intercepts the horrible throw that barely went anywhere and scores a touchdown.

On the other hand, Bad Bunny's halftime performance was amazing. “I thought it was something refreshing and new that I haven't seen at a Halftime Show before” -Sava.

This super bowl halftime show was a giant display of Latino culture especially and almost specifically of Puerto Rico. He performed some of his most famous songs in front of one of the most put together and detailed sets of all time for a halftime show.

He invited many Latino icons like Cardi B, Pedro Pascal, and most notably Ricky Martin, who performed a song about the people's pride for Puerto Rico and speaking about not treating it like Hawaii (based on my interpretation). This song taps into the political side of the performance, and a little bit later into the show Bad Bunny and background dancers perform on telephone poles with wires coming off representing the mass power outages in Puerto Rico that happen about 7 times more frequently and last 13 times longer than on mainland U.S.A.

For many averse geologically aggravated people, the halftime show was controversial because they think Bad Bunny is not American. I shouldn't have to explain to you why that is crazy. At the end he essentially shouted out every American country not just North America, all of the Americas.
