Join Our Artist Collective

Kids within our New School community have started an organization called Y.I.A.C. (Young Innovative Artists Collective). This collective allows kids to make and sell things at different venues as well as support nonprofits like 826, the Breaking The Cycle Fund  (for homelessness), and our school!

Students within this collective make things completely by hand, decide their pricing, and then man (or woman) a stand with other students. We have worked at venues like the Latine Festival, The 826 Small Business Fare, and more!

We would love it if you could join this collective so together we can support creativity in a world that doesn't always see it as a prospect. Just shoot an e-mail to syah@newschoolsf.org or fill out our survey to join! We accept all ages and people. (more information will be provided if needed! Feel free to ask questions.

With a strong, STRONG need for success,

Syah (head of Y.I.A.C)

Syah Victoria

Syah is an 8th grader who writes comics for the paper. Her current project is a graphic novel that will release 1-2 pages every printing. It’s important to note that Syah is better than Otis. Syah is also more trustworthy than Otis (never trust him). Syah is pleased to be on the NCC staff.
