Student Council, Dance And Spirit Week Updates

This year, the middle school elected new student representatives, making up a total of twelve student council members to represent the school. Eighth grade student, Aleeah is president and Seventh grader, Sequoia is vice president. They were elected last year.

As of this year, the current newly-elected candidates are Eighth graders, Adam, and Sah’rai. The Seventh graders are Nofa, Ollie, Sava, and Sarah. And the sixth graders are Corey, Caden, Sabani, and Eva.

They shared mutual ideas and came up with a theme for the New School Spring Dance, and Spirit Week days.

The dance was chosen to feature all four seasons; spring; winter; autumn; and summer. One of the Spirit Days also holds that theme.

The dance will be on Thursday, May 8th.

Spirit week is May 5th - 9th. The spirit days are:

  • Monday 5/5 - Sports Day: represent your favorite team or wear workout attire

  • Tuesday 5/6 - Twin/Triplet/Quadruplet Day: match your outfit with other students

  • Wednesday 5/7 - Swap with Staff Day: students dress as staff and staff dress as students

  • Thursday 5/8 - 4 Seasons Day: wear clothing that represents your favorite season of the year

  • Friday 5/9 - Decades Day (pre - 2000s): Dress up in clothing that represents any decade before the year 200. 90's, 80's, 60's, etc!

The Student Council hopes New School is excited for the dance and Spirit Week themes!
