Chapter 1 

"Ashley? Ashley?" I'm not sure if it's my imagination or if I'm awake, but I could hear them, yet I can't move. What's going on! I force my eyes to open and accidentally hit one of the scientists who was helping me recover from my slumber. "Who are you!?" "And what are you doing to me!?" I screamed in shock.

"It's okay, Ashley. Allow me to introduce myself. I am the vice principal and the founder of Nyx City. Name's Cove Moon, and these are my loyal assistants, Saturn and Zen," Ms. Cove said.

"Hello," Zen said with a bored expression on his face.

"Hi-ya, Ashley!" Saturn said with excitement in her voice. "I'm Saturn, and this is my partner! You can ask us any questions as you please!"

"Okay then... What year is this?" I said with confusion.

"It is July 23, 2206," Zen said.

"Oh... then who did I accidentally hit?" I said with an awkward smile on my face.

"Me, Ms. Ashley," Zen said, pointing at himself with an annoyed look on his face.

"I am so sorry," I said with that awkward smile of mine.

"It's fine, Ashley... I've dealt with this type of behavior from others..." Zen said. He put one of his hands on the side of his waist where I hit him on the ribs. "You've got a strong punch for a thirteen-year-old," he said.

"Anyways," Saturn said while breaking the silence with a smile on her face, "I can show you where your new dorm is. But maybe we need to get you some new clothes." She looked away from me as Zen and Saturn found some clothes. I looked down at my body as I wore a white shirt and black shorts with some blue sticky gelatin on me. Alright then. I waited patiently for one of them to get me some new clothes.

I started to realize that Zen and Saturn are much younger than the vice principal. They both look like they're in their early twenties, meanwhile Ms. Cove looks like she's in her late thirties. Zen actually looks surprisingly handsome for his age. He has black hair, green eyes, a white lab coat, pale soft skin, a white long-sleeved shirt, and black pants with dress shoes. Saturn has honey-blonde hair, brown eyes, a white lab coat, tan skin, a white dress, and white heels.

A few minutes later, Zen comes back with new clothes for me. "Here," Zen said as he gave me my new clothes.

"Thank you," I said to him.

"We'll give you some privacy for you to change," Saturn said. "Once you're done, come out and we'll show you your new dorm. Okay?" Zen said.

"Yes, sir," I said to him. As they walked out of the room, the gelatin started to fall from my body. "Gross..." I said with disgust in my voice. I changed out of the clothes I had before and changed into new ones. It was a black jumpsuit and some space boots. Once I was done, I came out of the room.

"I'm done," I said to them.

"Great then. Follow me," Zen said.

We made our way to my new dorm. Once we were there, they opened the door and I saw five boys and two girls in the dorm. Some of them were play-fighting, some were sleeping, and some were laughing at each other.

"Hey! Stop this nonsense at once," Zen said coldly, and everyone stopped immediately.

"Um, thank you, Zen, for that," Saturn said. "Anyways, you guys have a new roomie. Her name is Ashley. Please be kind and welcoming to her in this dorm and outside of it," Saturn said calmly and smiled at me.

"Welcome to Nyx Middle School, Ashley," Saturn said while both of them lifted me.

Chapter 2

As I stood awkwardly in the middle of the other kids, one of them broke the awkward silence. "Well, hello Ashley. I'm Blossom. That is Salome, Ajax, Blade, Levi, Asher, and Miles," Blossom said with a smile on her face as she tried to comfort me.

"Hello, Ashley," the others said to me all at once.

"Hi, guys," I said with a wave of relief.

Blossom has black hair and pink bangs, blue eyes, and pale skin. Salome has caramel brown hair, brown eyes, and dark brown skin. Ajax has dark brown hair, baby blue eyes, and white skin. Blade has blonde hair, green eyes, and tan skin. Levi has black hair, black eyes, and white skin. Asher has red hair, brown eyes, and pale skin. Miles has red and black dreads, black eyes, and light brown skin.

"Nice to meet you guys again," I said with a small smile. "So where is my bed?"

"Oh, I can show you!" Blade said with excitement. Both of us walked to my bed and he showed me. "Right here. You're next to me," Blade said.

"Okay then," I said. "If you guys won't mind if I have any questions, right?"

"Yeah, of course. Tell us anything. We're pretty open about it," Levi said.

"How old are you guys exactly?" I said with curiosity.

"Well, Blade, Levi, and Asher are fourteen. Me, Salome, Ajax, and Miles are thirteen years old," Blossom said.

"Oh really?" I said.

"Yeah, that's true," Miles said.

"How old are you again, Ashley?" Salome said.

"I'm thirteen. The same age as you guys," I said.

"Hey Miles, you think she is cute~?" Asher teased him in a whisper.

"Shut up, Asher!" Miles said, and his cheeks started to turn bright pink, clearly flustered by the situation.

"Okay, lights out at 10!" the security guard said as his voice was loud enough for the hallway to echo.

"So right now it is 9:45 pm," Ajax said.

"We only got 15 minutes to get to bed," Blossom said.

"I'm gonna get ready for bed," Levi said while he was getting his pajamas.

"Here, I got yours right here," Blossom said while she gave me my new pajamas.

"Let's go to the girls locker room while they change in here," Salome said.

"Okay," I said while I was holding my pajamas as we left the boys in the dorm.

"Dude, why you have to say that in front of her!" Miles burst out. The others looked at him confusingly, and Asher was smirking at him.

"What? It's not like she hears it," Asher said teasingly in his voice as he tested his patience. Meanwhile, Blade and Ajax laughed at him, and Levi joined in with Asher.

"Well, I guess she is kinda cute from the other two," Blade said. Levi agreed with Blade.

"Yeah, I agreed with Blade on this one~," Levi said with a chuckle. "I might have to steal her, Miles~," Levi teased him again.

"Shut up, Levi…" Miles said with an annoyed voice.

"Or what~?" Levi said. Before Levi could tease Miles again, Miles started to attack Levi, and the others joined in the fight.

"What are they doing up there?" Salome said.

"I don't really know…" Blossom said with a sigh. "They're doing something weird or wild in the dorm…" Blossom said again.

Once we were done in the girls locker room, we made our way back to our dorm. As we made it back, we saw the boys wrestling each other.

"Just admit it, Miles!" Asher said.

"NO!" Miles said.

"Guys…" I said.

"Hey, guys!" Blossom said. The boys stopped immediately.

"Oh, hey," Ajax said.

"We were just..." Levi said before Blossom cut him off.

"Teasing Miles, right?" Blossom said to Levi.

"Yeah…" Levi said.

"Come on, guys, get ready please," Salome said.

"Fine, okay," the boys said. They got ready and started to get in their beds, and one by one they started to fall asleep.
