The New School Chronicle has now officially been around for a year and a half. We’ve had a whopping 7,400 visits to the website over our time as a paper, including 4,700 unique visitors. Our pageviews recently hit 30,000! To celebrate, here is a rundown of the top 10 NewsCool Chronicle articles by number of visits, in addition to a few never-before-seen graphs showing the NCC website’s raw data. THE TOP 10 MOST VISITED NEWSCOOL CHRONICLE PAGES OF ALL TIME
1: EMBER OF THE FALLEN KINGDOM by WINSTON COADY
Experience this epic tale of sorcery, adventure, and political intrigue, which amassed more than four hundred views over its time on the website. Written as a serial throughout the year of 2025, the story includes twenty chapters of worldbuilding, action, and powerful dialogue. Its extreme popularity is a testament to the creative talent exercised in this work. If you enjoy it, be sure to check out the sequel, A Fray of Four Fiefs.
2: GAMES by FELIX PAPANIKOLAS
While this one isn’t technically an article, three-time NCC Journalist Felix’s game page has been a massive success since its launch in early 2026. Check out weekly Wordle, Connections, and Spelling Bee puzzles, all modeled after the corresponding hit games from The New York Times. Also take a look at the demo version of our journalist Pablo Masangcay-Alvarez’s new Scratch game, Roblox RPG Battle Demo, currently featured on the page.
3: TEACHER GOSSIP: 2nd EDITION by ELLIE DUBASIK
Teacher Gossip was a column that ran for one semester in the fall of 2025, maintaining high viewership across all three of its issues. But the most popular edition was its second, in which teachers shared how they would fare during a zombie apocalypse, listed fashion trends they want to bring back, and remembered ridiculous excuses they’ve heard from past students. With twelve unique and intriguing questions, you can’t miss it.
4: 7th GRADE STUDENT COUNCIL CANDIDATES by DARIO MIRRASHIDI
Catch up on the seventh grade 2026 student council election scene by reading this popular article. The NewsCool Chronicle’s been providing detailed election coverage for over a year, so if that’s what you’re into, there’s a lot to explore.
5: UNTITLED by SYAH VICTORIA
Featuring detailed, stylistic art and a unique plot, this graphic novel is one of the NCC’s most unique works. You can’t find anything else like it on the entire website. It’s certainly worth a visit, if you have the time.
6: 1st ANNUAL MAGIC IN MOTION 5K by NEWSCOOL CHRONICLE STAFF
This is the only staff article on the list, and a perfect example of how the entire NewsCool Chronicle can come together to create something amazing. If you’re into running or interested in joining this annual tradition next April, be sure to read up all about the event here.
7. BEWARE WHAT THE RAVEN BRINGS by NOFA OUALI
The first short story ever published by the NewsCool Chronicle remains just as engaging and heart-pounding as it was when it was first released, guaranteed to have you scrolling through its pages as fast as you can. Following a group of small-town kids who make a terrifying discovery, this tale of macabre horror and mystery is perfect for the NCC readers who prefer something a little darker than our usual content.
8. TEACHER GOSSIP: 3RD EDITION by ELLIE DUBASIK
Another popular entry in the Teacher Gossip series. This one features the teachers’ favorite holidays, insights into how seating charts are created, and many funny (as well as not so funny) jokes. Definitely worth a quick visit.
9: G7 AND G8 BASKETBALL CHAMPIONSHIP GAMES: THE FINAL SHOWDOWNS by BENTON SHAPPELL
A classic sports piece from the early days of the NewsCool Chronicle, this article includes details on two thrilling basketball championships from the winter of 2025.
10: THE NEXT STEP IN MR. ANTWAN’S CAREER by WINSTON COADY
Mr. Antwan was a New School legend, first stepping into the role of music teacher during the 2022–2023 school year, and focusing primarily on body percussion.
